Red and Yellow Burst Road Worn Les Paul copy
This is an old, generic Les Paul copy, one piece body and (through) neck, bought from eBay a few years ago. Its a nice weight, chunky feeling...
Its been sanded, distressed, battered, relic'ed... whatever!
I just didn't want it nice and shiny!
It's a total 'bitsa' - all the screws are mis-matched, the pick ups are whatever was hanging around, but sound pretty sweet, the bridge is black, the tailpiece is gold, however, the control knobs actually match!
The cavities are all foiled so it has no hums or noises. It's got orange drop capacitors so gives a nice warm Les Paul sound, with plenty of snarl if you want it!
The action is ok, it plays pretty well, the neck feels smooth and velvety having lost it's gloss
It could probably use a final set up and intonation.
This is not everyone's cup of tea, but if you're after a cool looking, road-worn looking Les Paul copy for every day use, then it's worth a look...
